The Dutch Football Association have confirmed they will be investigating Chelsea's signing of Feyenoord teenager Nathan Ake.
The Christmas-time move sparked controversy as football agent Dan Kramp was reported to have taken the teenager to London to finalise the transfer. Ake is just 15 years old, and there are strict rules in the Netherlands prohibiting players from hiring agents until they turn 16.
Dutch PFA spokesman Danny Hesp said in The Sun: "The rules clearly state that agents can't do anything with children under 16.
"Yet this agent turns up with a 15-year-old at Chelsea so the FA has got to tackle this issue."
A spokesman for the Dutch FA confirmed the matter will be investigated: "It's a transfer involving a player who is not yet 16 so our integrity unit is going to take a look at it."
Chelsea insist their dealing with the Dutch club was not out of order, adding that they worked closely with Feyenoord throughout the negotiations.
"We've kept Feyenoord abreast of our interest from the very beginning and as a result have agreed terms with the club for the player's transfer to Chelsea in July," said a club spokesman.
