Flander takes snowboard win
Slovenia's Rok Flander bagged his first FIS World Cup win of the season with victory in the parallel giant slalom in Telluride, USA.
The 31-year-old, who was crowned world champion in 2007, produced the goods to defeat Switzerland’s Kaspar Fluetsch anf take gold in difficult conditions.
They were joined by Austria's Manuel Veith on the podium for the season's second World Cup parallel giant slalom event.
In the women’s competition, Fraenzi Maegert-Kohli beat Germany's Isabella Laboeck for victory on the with Russia's Ekaterina Tudegesheva coming home third.
It's already Tudegesheva's third medal of the season, as she won last week's parallel giant slalom event in Italy as well as the parallel slalom race that opened the season in the Netherlands.
