FA Cup - Football world united in hope for Muamba
The football world was united in wishing Fabrice Muamba well following the news that the Bolton Wanderers midfielder had been taken to hospital after collapsing on the pitch during the FA Cup quarter-final at Tottenham Hotspur.
Muamba fell to the ground in the 42nd minute of the match at White Hart Lane, and medics attending to him for some time on the field as they used CPR and defibrillation in their attempts to revive him.
The former England Under-21 international was eventually stretchered off the field and taken to hospital, with confirmation that the match was abandoned coming a short time afterwards.
The FA, his former clubs, team-mates, friends and fellow professionals were quick to express their hopes that the 23-year-old pulls through on Twitter.
