Aviva Premiership - Round-up: Wasps win thriller
Richard Haughton scored a sensational late try as Wasps staged an astonishing fightback from 18-30 down at half-time to earn a 37-30 victory over Leicester - their first win of the Aviva Premiership season.
Champions Leicester had looked on course for victory after they crossed for four first-half tries, with a double from Tom Varndell at least keeping the hosts in touching distance.
But the Tigers, who lost their opener against Northampton before struggling past newly-promoted Exeter last weekend, failed to score in the second half. Their opponents did not quite roar back into the game but four second-half penalties from Dave Walder did bring them level with 10 minutes to play before substitute Haughton's late converted try sealed a memorable win.
Matt Smith, Ben Youngs, Billy Twelvetrees and Tom Croft touched down for the visitors.
In the afternoon's other match, fly-half Gareth Steenson booted Premiership newcomers Exeter Chiefs to their second home victory of the campaign against Newcastle Falcons at Sandy Park.
The Falcons scored two tries to the Chiefs' one but it was Steenson's five penalties - along with one conversion - which made the difference as the hosts clinched a 22-17 victory.
Charlie Amesbury and Rob Vickerman were the try-scorers for Newcastle, while Tom Johnson touched down for the hosts.
