Lamy-Chappuis wins again in Seefeld
World Cup leader Jason Lamy-Chappuis was again too strong in Seefeld as he sealed victory in the Nordic Combined event after starting the final 10km cross-country race in seventh.
The Frenchman showed his class from the start reeling in competitor after competitor before distancing himself from Italian Alessandro Pittin in the latter stages.
The Italian managed to hang on for second place while Norwegian Joergen Graabak just pinched third spot from home favourite Bernhard Gruber.
The win extends Olympic champion Lamy-Chappuis’ lead at the top of the World Cup standings with 554 points comfortably clear of second-placed German Tino Edelmann who had to settle for 18th in Austria leaving him on 381 points.
