Europa League - Round-up: Cisse gives Pana win

Roma missed a chance to set a club record of 21 games without defeat in all competitions when they lost to Panathinaikos in the first leg of their Europa League last 32 clash.

Roma lead with less than 10 minutes to go but could not hold on and went on to lose 3-2 in Athens.

Roma appeared set to extend their unbeaten run when Chile midfielder David Pizarro converted a penalty nine minutes from time.

Instead, Lazaros Hristodoulopoulos equalised in the 84th minute and Djibril Cisse snatched the winner.

Mirko Vucinic had put Roma ahead in the first half with Dimitris Salpingidis making it 1-1 midway through the second half.

Austrian champions Salzburg, the only team to complete the group phase with a 100 per cent record, squandered a 2-0 lead as they lost 3-2 at Champions League drop-outs Standard Liege.

Marc Janko scored twice as the visitors took control in the first half.

Axel Witsel pulled one back with a penalty, Igor de Camargo levelled in the 80th minute with a 30-yard shot and Witsel popped up to head the winner two minutes later.

A late flurry of goals ensured Marseille ran out 3-1 winners against FC Copenhagen in Denmark.

Mamadou Niang put the visitors ahead before Jesper Gronkjaer's penalty drew Copenhagen level with 10 minutes remaining.

But Hatem Ben Arfa and Charles Kabore hit back as Didier Deschamps's side put themselves in the driving seat.

And Atletico Madrid will travel to Galatasaray needing to win after being held to a 1-1 draw at the San Mames.

Jose Antonio Reyes's free-kick put Atletico ahead but Kader Keita turned in Hakan Balta's cross to level 13 minutes from time.

Brazilian striker Grafite scored twice for VfL Wolfsburg away to Villarreal but it was not enough for the German champions to end a 12-match winless run in all competitions as Marco Ruben snatched an 85th minute equaliser for the Spaniards.

A Marcell Jansen goal was enough for Hamburg to beat PSV at home while Dorge Rostand Kouemaha's earned Belgian side Brugge a 1-0 win over Valencia, currently third in La Liga.

And it's all-square between Athletic Bilbao and Anderlecht after Lucas Biglia leveled following Mikel San Jose Dominguezs opener.
