Kiryienka wins Route du Sud
Movistar's Belarusian rider Vasil Kiryienka has won the Route du Sud, with Luis Angel Mate Mardones of Cofidis winning the fourth and final stage in Pau.
The Spaniard was part of a five-man escape, and had enough in the tank to outsprint his rivals after a 143km stage between Izaourt and Pau - Germany's Simon Geschke and the Frenchman Steve Houanar came in second and third.
None of the leading group were a threat in the general classification, and they resisted an attempt from the peloton to reel them in 20km from home.
Kiryienka was never threatened on a gentle stage featuring two category three climbs - he took overall victory by 40 seconds from Davide Rebellin (Miche) with Britain's Peter Kennaugh (Team Sky) third.
