Blake stuns Del Potro in Stockholm
James Blake sent Juan Martin Del Potro crashing out of ATP Stockholm with a 6-4 6-4 victory to reach the quarter-finals.
The American was utterly clinical as he broke ruthlessly from 5-4 up in the opening set, and Del Potro - the second seed - barely recovered.
Del Potro, who was playing in his first tournament since the US Open, struggled throughout as he looked to keep Blake at bay, but to no avail.
The unseeded American won the second set by the same margin to seal a shock victory.
Blake will next take on either Ivan Dodig or David Nalbandian in the quarter-finals.
Anderson was forced to recover from a set down, but held his composure to overcome Haas with ruthless breaks in the second and third sets.
Sixth seed Milos Raonic was also victorious in his match against Philipp Petzschner, winning 6-3 6-3 to progress to the quarter-finals.
The world number 29 won both sets fairly convincingly, and will next face either Juan Ignacio Chela or Grigor Dimitrov.
Dimitrov won his opening round match against Ryan Sweeting 6-3 6-1, while Bernard Tomic (7-6 4-6 6-0) and Sebastian Rieschick (6-4 3-6 6-3) also progressed through to the second round with victories over Jurgen Zopp and Michael Ryderstedt.
