Norberg survives Sloan scare
Olympic champion Anette Norberg was given a major scare by youthful Scottish skip Anna Sloan at the World Curling Championships in Esbjerg.
Sloan had the chance to snatch a victory with her final stone - but the shot was always challenging and she duly lost 5-3.
"I could probably only see a tenth of the stone, so it was always going to be difficult," admitted Sloan.
"I had to go for it and it was so close. We played pretty well but Anette just had too much for us. We still have to keep stepping it up."
Elsewhere, Germany and Norway both lost their unbeaten records while Canada's Amber Holland, who was defeated by Russia earlier in the day slipped to a second straight defeat against winless hosts Denmark.
