Dukurs wins again to extend World Cup lead
Olympic silver medallist Martins Dukurs extended his lead at the top of the World Cup standings with victory in Winterburg.
The Latvian, defending World Cup champion, clocked 57.48 seconds to lead after the first run and followed up with 57.93 to top the podium with 1:55.41.
Russia's Sergei Chudinov finished 0.20 adrift in second, with his compatriot, Olympic bronze medallist Alexander Tretiakov, a further 0.10 back.
Dukurs, on 1269 points, now leads Tretiakov in the overall standings by 114 points. Chudinov lies third on 1109.
