Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha has been handed his first call-up to the England Under-21 squad for next week's European Championship qualifier against Belgium.

The 19-year-old, a former Under-19 international, has been rewarded for his performances for Palace which have seen him linked with a host of Barclays Premier League clubs.

The Under-21s will be managed in the Group 8 fixture by Brian Eastick, who is deputising for England caretaker manager Stuart Pearce.

"There are a couple of new faces in the group, with Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha and Hull City's Cameron Stewart coming in for the first time," said Eastick.

"They both deserve their opportunities after some impressive performances at club level."
