60 seconds with George Burley
If you hadn't been a football manager, what career would you have had instead?
Probably something to do with accounts. Maths was always my favourite subject at school. But I joined Ipswich when I was 15 and, right from day one, never really thought about anything else.
What was your first car?
I think it was a Ford Capri. I was lucky that I got into the first team at 17 and could afford it.
What was the last music you bought?
I don't buy much music. I'm more of a radio man. My last concert was Take That.
What's your TV guilty pleasure?
I get drawn into watching some of the soaps. My daughter will come into the room and ask "what are you watching that for?".
If you were going to sing a song at karaoke, what would it be?
What's the nicest place you've ever visited?
Somewhere I really enjoyed was Las Vegas. It was such a buzz in the casinos, and we took a helicopter over the Grand Canyon.
If you could throw a dinner party for any three people in history, dead or alive, who would they be?
Well, after being married for 32 years, the first one has got to be my wife. Somebody who had the most passion, energy and knowledge was Sir Bobby Robson. Someone who would light the party up for me would be Rihanna! That would certainly be a good mixture. My wife would look after me, make sure I didn't get into any trouble.
What would you cook for them?
Oh, it's got to be tatties and mince!
