Guardini wins in Malaysia again
Andrea Guardini won stage two at the Tour de Langkawi for the second year running after nicking a sprint finish at Melaka, Malaysia.
The Farnese Vini-Selle Italia rider held off Jake Keough and Christian Delle Stelle for his first win of the season.
Last year the Italian, 22, won five of 10 stages and the points title and is expected to feature heavily this time out.
Garmin-Barracuda’s David Zabriskie, the race favourite, stayed in the pack to retain his overall lead.
Australian Drapac duo Adam Phelan and Darren Lapthorne stay in second and third respectively.
Local rider Sea Kong Loh of OCBC Singapore won all three intermediate springs to earn 15 points.
