Rotherham have completed the signing of Crawley goalkeeper Scott Shearer on a two-year deal.
The 31-year-old becomes the Millers' third signing of the week, following the arrival of defenders Ian Sharps and Nicky Hunt, and Millers boss Steve Evans is delighted to have fought off stiff competition to land his man.
He told Rotherham's official website: "Scott has put pen to paper on a two-year deal and we have had to work extremely hard to get him.
"There was some real competition for his signature, but the documentation has been completed, so it's terrific news."
Shearer is well known to Evans, who managed the former Wycombe and Bristol Rovers goalkeeper while in charge of Crawley.
