Liga - Report: Mourinho to quit Real this summer
Jose Mourinho will quit Real Madrid in the summer and return to the Premier League according to the Sunday Times.
Despite Real Madrid moving seven points clear at the top of the Liga table on Saturday night, Mourniho has, according to the Times, "grown disillusioned with life in Madrid," where he has come under fire from the media this season for the team's struggles in Clasico matches against fierce rivals Barcelona.
Mourinho does not have a job lined up in England, with the Times claiming that there is "bound to be speculation linking him with any one of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and even Chelsea," with his former club an option as "despite the acrimony that surrounded his departure from Chelsea, he has buried his differences with (Chelsea owner Roman) Abramovich."
The paper also lists Tottenham as a possibility due to the potential of that job opening up, as current Spurs manager Harry Redknapp is currently on trial for alleged tax evasion and also reportedly interested in succeeding Fabio Capello as England manager.
The journalist who wrote the piece, Duncan Castles, is known in media circles as having impeccable Mourinho contacts, and went on radio channel Talksport to reiterate that he was "100 per cent" certain that Mournho would return to England in the summer.
Meanwhile, the Sunday Mirror speculates that Manchester City would be keen on Mourinho taking over if Roberto Mancini fails to bring the title to the Etihad this summer.
