- 60 seconds: Colin Jackson

Who was your sporting hero growing up?

Daley Thompson.

What would you have done if you hadn't become a sprinter?

Possibly an electrician, if we're talking a proper job. I've got two uncles who do that. Or a cricketer.

What was your first car?

A Ford Orion, black, brand new - I got it through sponsorship. I really knew I'd arrived then!

What was the first record or CD you bought?

The Bed's Too Big Without You by Julie Roberts - a reggae cover of a Police record.

Who would be your three dream dinner party guests?

Marilyn Monroe. Nelson Mandela. And Barack Obama. I'd ask Obama if he was proud of becoming President, and of what he was trying to achieve and has achieved in office.

What would you cook them?

Light food. Pork is my favourite so that, with a salad on the side. Something nice and fresh.

What's the worst place you've ever visited?

My living room the morning after a stupid party - one of my infamous barbeques which last all night. I'd leave everything out at 4am, hit the sack... and in the morning get up and think 'what the hell happened here? Why is there a spare rib down the back of the sofa?'

What's the most extravagant purchase you've ever made?

My Cartier watch. I paid 35,000 for it after I won my second world title. I just thought: 'Why not?'

If you were Prime Minister for a day, what would be the first law you would bring in?

However much anyone earned this month you could keep it all, tax free.
