Crosby managed just two shots against the Islanders to go scoreless for the first time since November 3.

"Would have been nice to keep it going, just one of those games (where) there was low scoring," Crosby said.

"There was (sic) chances to be had but they didn't go in."

The NHL's leader in points and goals scored, Crosby tallied 26 goals and 24 assists during the run which is the longest since Quebec's Mats Sundin had a 30-game streak during the 1992-93 season.
