Premier League - Ranger charged over 'drunken' night out
Ranger, 20, was arrested near Newcastle's Bigg Market and Tup Tup Palace nightclub at 1.40am after a night drinking with friends.
After being questioned for over four hours and released on bail, he will now appear before magistrates after being charged with an offence.
"Police arrested a 20-year-old man for being drunk and disorderly in the Cathedral Square area of Newcastle city centre," said a spokesman for Northumbria Police.
"Nile Ranger, 20, has been charged with being drunk and disorderly and will appear at magistrates' court later this month."
In August, Ranger was bailed over an alleged attack that left a man unconscious in Newcastle.
On October 20 he was also charged with drink-driving following an incident on September 11.
