The 41-year-old Football League boss has now invited 91 loyal fans of the club who made the journey up to Hartlepool from Devon to join him for a beer during a Q&A session at a pub in Torquay.
It is perhaps time that some Premier League bosses took note of his gesture and endeared themselves to some of their hardy supporters.
