The news that Everton's game with Crystal Palace had been postponed was particularly unfortunate for one Toffees fan.

Ric Wee had made the trip of a liftetime to Goodison Park with the Malaysian Toffees to watch his beloved team play for the first time in 30 years of supporting the club.

And Ric made it all the way into Goodison Park to take his seat early in preparation for his first taste of Premier League football.

As the two clubs handed in their teamsheets all seemed right with the world, but then the terrible news struck: the match had been called off.

Several roads around Goodison Park had been closed due to the high winds sweeping the country, with a number of spectators stuck in heavy traffic and nowhere near the ground.

With building damage being sustained around the ground, the club and the police felt the fixture could no longer go ahead leaving one committed fan particularly disappointed.

Ric will have to wait just a bit longer to finally see his dream come true of watching Everton live.

However, there was a happy ending....
