Real Madrid celebrated getting their hands on the Champions League on Sunday, and it was no ordinary party.
Madrid's adoring fans were reveling in the glory of getting one over local rivals Atletico as well as winning the European Cup for a record 10th time.
And for some of the Madrid stars, success clearly went to their head. Or hair at least.
Looking to mark La Decima in a fitting way, midfielder Luka Modric decided to chop off the flowing locks that have accompanied him for most of his career.
The Croatia midfielder had apparently promised to cut his hair if Madrid came away with the European Cup and stayed true to his word, posing for this picture with hairdresser Miguel Siero, who styles many members of the squad.

Right-back Dani Carvajal took a different approach.
In an inadvertent homage to the Romania team at the 1998 World Cup, the Madrid star chose to bleach his beard blond before joining in celebrations on Sunday afternoon.

The rest of the team appeared to have left their follicles intact. But the hair on the back of their necks must have been standing up when they were confronted with the amazing sight of thousands of their fans packing the streets.
This picture, tweeted by defender Alvaro Arbeloa, sums it up pretty well.
