It is said that goalkeepers are a rare breed.
Often, they mix an introverted nature with a penchant for exhibitionism - and that can lead to some rather bizarre goings on.
And, well, what can we say about the above video from Poland?
Richard Zajac, of Podbeskidzie, looked to have the situation under control as the ball was played back to him.
Even with a striker bearing down on him, the keeper appeared to retain that calm.
Alas, for his team, he was too calm as he gingerly attempted to lift the ball over said striker but clipped the ball square in the player’s face.
The result? One of the most bizarre goals you are ever likely to see, and, of course, a 1-0 win for Lechia Gdansk.
