Chelsea's Diego Costa (C) celebrates his goal against Burnley during their English Premier League soccer match …

The second week of the Premier League upon us and with that comes your chance to go head to head with Adebayo ‘The Beast’ Akinfenwa on Yahoo Fantasy Football

With an intriguing weekend of football ahead of us, picking a first XI wasn’t an easy task for Adebayo, particularly with the huge Monday night clash at The Etihad where Manchester City take on Liverpool, in mind.

After much deliberation and soul-searching this is the 15 he has selected for week 2.

Adebayo feels the City – Liverpool game will be a tight one “There won’t be many goals between these teams and I fancy a 0-0 or 1-1, so I have gone for a goalkeeper and a back three made up of players from those teams. I’m putting my money on a low scoring game”.

“I was very impressed with the way Thibaut Courtois handled himself on his debut at Turf Moor and he will be a tough nut to crack for City”.

In midfield, his main picks are Cesc Fabregas and Raheem Sterling. “Fabregas ran the game on his debut and Leicester won’t have enough to keep him in check”. While on Sterling, ‘The Beast’ comments “If anyone is going to break down City it’s Raheem. He’s continued his World Cup form into the league, and it will be an interesting tussle with City's back four”.

His other two picks in his midfield are less high profile in Jack Rodwell and Wayne Routledge. Rodwell had a quiet debut for Sunderland last weekend and was withdrawn after 68 minutes, but ‘Bayo is backing him to give a good account of himself against Manchester United’s weakened midfield. Plus he’s cheap! Routledge was outstanding last week, setting up Gylfi Sigurdsson’s winner in Swansea’s win at Old Trafford and giving United’s makeshift left back Ashley Young the run-around. “Burnley will struggle against Wayne’s pace and incisive passing and I expect points from him”.

Finally ‘Bayo has selected a front three of Diego Costa, Saido Berahino and Alexis Sanchez.

On Costa, Akinfenwa feels he has found a kindred spirit. “Costa is a unit and loves to bully defenders and I’m a huge fan. For that price you can’t go wrong.” On Berahino, ‘Bayo says “The pace of Berahino make him a huge threat and he could cause Southampton massive problems. He started well last week and the Saints might have Premier League debutant Florin Gardoș in their defence and it could be a baptism of fire for the Romanian” As for Sanchez as ‘The Beast‘ rightly points out “You’d be crazy not to have him for that price”
