The Fantasist dropped by to answer your questions about the weekend's upcoming Premier League fixtures and how they relate to Yahoo! Fantasy Football.

There was plenty of heat around the biggest matches of this gameweek, namely Tottenham v Chelsea and Man United v Arsenal, and who would be fit for those top clashes.

Will Torres and Rooney rediscover their scoring touch? Will Balotelli be in the mood to rip through the West Ham defence, or merely sulk around Upton Park for 90 minutes?

All this and more was discussed, and you can catch up on all the chat below.

  • Injury report: Gameweek 22

Wayne Rooney limped off in the last few minutes against West Brom after hurting his ankle in a challenge from Chris Brunt, only to hobble back on to the pitch a few minutes later, as United had already used all three substitutions.

Brunt apologised to the striker, who grabbed his first goal from open play in nine months at The Hawthorns, but he is now a doubt for Tuesday's game against Stoke. Which, if you are nursing a tender ankle, might be just as well.

Newcastle will also be without their star striker, Andy Carroll, for a little while after a thigh injury ruled him out of Sunday's win at

questions and solve all your problems for the New Year's Day Premier League
    fixtures.

Are you banking on Liverpool arresting
their sluggish form in style against Bolton, or expecting Dimitar Berbatov to
    bag against West Brom?

Do you think picking Manchester City's
players is the way to go with Roberto Mancini's side taking on Blackpool at
Eastlands, or will Arsenal hit their straps against Birmingham?

You fired all your questions at the Fantasist,
and the debate commenced. The following is a transcript of the webchat in full.

The Fantasist dropped in to answer your questions and solve all your problems for the Bank Holiday Premier League fixtures.

It made for a pleasant distraction from being forced to listen to more of his grandfather's Christmas stories about how much worse presents were in his day and how footballers didn't need snoods when he was growing up (Ok, fair point).

Thanks to all those who asked questions, and good luck with your transfers.

  • Matchday review: Gameweek 18

Never mind all the people stranded at airports, train stations or on the motorways - the real victims of the recent deluge of snow in Britain are players of Fantasy Football.

With only three out of 10 matches going ahead in the last gameweek, all that time spent agonising over team selections almost certainly garnered nothing except an embarrassingly low points haul.

If you had the time and inclination to wait until the last minute, though, you would have been rewarded, with one player scoring 89.5 points with a team comprised of 10 players from Blackburn, Bolton, Sunderland and Manchester

The impromptu winter break has allowed several players to recover from knocks and be fit and raring to go in time for the Premier League's Christmas fixtures.

Lukasz Fabianski and Abou Diaby will both be fit for Arsenal's match against Chelsea on Monday, according to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is also set to make his return against Blackpool, assuming the match at Bloomfield Road can go ahead on Boxing Day, while Tottenham welcome back Rafael van der Vaart for the trip to Aston Villa.

Victor Anichebe, Kolo Toure and Lee Cattermole all picked up one match

  • Matchday review: Deadly Drogba

Thank goodness for Didier Drogba. If you,
like the Fantasist, had the Chelsea striker in your team over the weekend, you
will have been given a whopping 35.50-point boost to kick the new season off.

The Ivorian hit a hat-trick against West
Brom to claim player-of-the-week status by quite some margin: Blackpool goal
hero Marlon Harewood was his nearest rival with a tally of 25.50.

Drogba's team-mate Florent Malouda was also
on target, twice, against the Baggies, giving him 25 points and entirely
justifying his selection in the Fantasist's team.

Less good was the ringing endorsement of Wigan
