First off today, a quick reply to the poster who said yesterday:
"You warned that Joe Cole might not start but still put him in choose 'em. How about your Carlos Tevez choice? Every week loads of players out score their value. A monkey throwing tipp-ex at the computer screen could do as well as you. (Message to yahoo: Get a new fantasist. He is miles from being a guru. I know that you are being light-hearted but this guy is rubbish)."
Last weekend 266 players featured in the Premier League, of which 57 outscored their value - that's 21 per cent.
Of the 13 players tipped in Friday's 'Choose 'em or Lose 'em', eight outscored their value (Fabianski, Green, Hibbert, Carragher, Parker, Gerrard, Bent, Davies) to five that didn't (Jaaskelainen, Ferreira, Cole, Jones, Tevez) - a 61 per cent hit rate.
Anyone who plays the game knows there will always be the odd duff selection, and a few big scores are what you need.
Thus The Fantasist's own team (1,232nd out of about 250,000 overall) had double-figure contributions from Bale, Milner, Gerrard, Drogba and Bent - enough for a pretty adequate weekly total of 119.
But there were obviously some disappointing performances in there (Hutton, Ferreira and Adam Johnson all underperformed).
Fantasy Football is a game of percentages, and anyone who expects a 100 per cent success rate from any tipster simply doesn't understand the game. Rant over.

Now for our weekly look at the risers and fallers in Fantasy Football.
A good weekend to come from the Ivory Coast. International team-mates Salomon Kalou and Aruna Dindane picked up a combined 13 in value after scoring five goals between them.
Elsewhere, Alberto Aquilani has finally rewarded those managers foolhardy enough to stick with him all seasons, with the Italian notching up three assists against Burnley.
Sol Campbell continues to perform solidly for Arsenal, while Ilan popped up with yet another goal against Wigan.
Salomon Kalou (FW, Chelsea, 11.76) +6.75
Aruna Dindane (FW, Portsmouth, 16.16) +6.36
Ryan Giggs (MF, Man Utd, 16.32) +3.14
Alberto Aquilani (MF, Liverpool, 10.08) +2.90
Frank Lampard (MF, Chelsea, 23.74) +2.86
Scott Parker (MF, West Ham, 12.89) +2.77
Sol Campbell (DF, Arsenal, 9.70) +2.55
Mikel Arteta (MF, Everton, 21.88) +2.47
Ilan (FW, West Ham, 9.25) +2.41
Craig Gordon (GK, Sunderland, 9.42) +2.38
It really does suck to be Asmir Begovic, who came off the bench for Stoke and promptly conceded five goals against Chelsea. His value falls to a rock bottom 1.00, which should make him a very popular selection this weekend.
Despite winning away to Hull, Sunderland feature two players among the biggest losers - Alan Hutton has at least had his red card ban reduced from three matches to one.
And it was an unhappy return to the Emirates Stadium for Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor, who earned little more than a Robin van Persie snub against Arsenal.
Asmir Begovic (GK, Stoke, 1.00) -4.52
David Meyler (MF, Sunderland, 1.21) -3.62
Matt Duke (GK, Hull, 3.08) -3.41
Ricardo Rocha (DF, Portsmouth, 3.68) -2.91
Richard Hughes (MF, Portsmouth, 2.17) -2.86
Heurelho Gomes (GK, Tottenham, 10.78) -2.60
Alan Hutton (DF, Sunderland, 5.49) -2.31
Chris Smalling (DF, Fulham, 3.18) -2.07
Eidur Gudjohnsen (FW, Tottenham, 4.13) -1.96
Emmanuel Adebayor (FW, Man City, 13.38) -1.89
