In a week without too many high scorers, The Fantasist
dropped a massive clanger by failing to sign Carlos Tevez.
The Argentine's two goals at Blackpool
were worth 22.5 points, making him the top scorer in the game.
The Fantasist opted for Nicolas Anelka instead, and was
rewarded with a lacklustre performance.
Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul
was cheap for a reason - who knew Wigan at
home was such a difficult game?
In defence, there was an interesting situation with Jerome
Boateng. The German international played over 75 minutes, and was substituted
when City had yet to concede.
Surely worth a clean sheet, then? Not according to the game.
City's failure to hold out while Boateng was off the pitch cost the full-back
his clean sheet. Bah.
At least he played, mind you, unlike John O'Shea who was
dropped for the debacle against West Brom.
Nani and Samir Nasri ensured a slightly rosier hue in
midfielder, while the continued faith in Marouane Chamakh paid off as the
Moroccan snaffled a goal against Birmingham.
Now the big question is whether to restore Didier Drogba
take on Wolves this Saturday. There will probably be no Rooney, though.
