Football managers have the weekend off, so let us take stock of the season so far.
what better way to do it than by taking a look at the league leader - Steve Bob
The early pacesetters have accumulated 968.5 points from the first seven match days, and lead by seven points with just under a quarter of the season played.
So how have they done it?
Steve Bob FC's manager (let's call him Steve. No, Bob. No, Steve) has shown an
uncanny ability to anticipate big performances.
Vito Mannone's 22-point debut against
Wigan and Thomas Vermaelen's two goals in the same game? Steve had them.
Benayoun's hat-trick against Burnley
and Fernando Torres's against Hull? Steve had them.
Bent's 32 points the week before
last and Cesc Fabregas's goal and
four assists last weekend? Once again, Steve had them.

week at the start of the season gave him a 183-point haul, but arguably the high point came in week

However, it is still
early days, and last week Steve's lead
at the top of the table was trimmed, as he scored 117 to second-placed team Invincible's 150. He even had two players in negative points -
Ben Foster and Michael Kightly.
4. Didier Drogba
has been the Premier League's star
man so far this season with 155 points, more than any other player.
The Drog has six
goals, five assists and more shots on target than anyone else in the league. Small
wonder he is the only player who has been ever-present for Steve Bob FC.
