  • Westwood, Scott my picks to win

The conditioning of the course at the US PGA Championship is as good as I've ever seen.
The fairways are like carpets and the ball sits up nicely on them.

The greens are fast and true. They are certainly quick
and being under the hole is important.

The fairway bunkers are really tough to hit out of. The
sand is soft and the ball sits down making it very hard to get a good contact. I
    guess they are hazards though!

I thought the course was going to suit the long hitter,
but the PGA of America have varied the tees, taking away that obvious
advantage. It allows you the chance to scramble for your

  • Surprised by Tiger unravelling

I was pleased for Tiger to see
him get off to a good start early in his round. It'd be fun to have him in
contention and try battle it out against him! I was then very surprised to see
    his round unravel.

    With his experience, no matter
how you're swinging it, I'd have imagined he would post something around par
after that start. I guess there is no substitute for being tournament sharp.

He'll have to play a great round
tomorrow to make the cut which I would imagine would be +4 if conditions hold.

    The conditions were pretty good
for golf today, despite the heat.

    The early starters probably had

  • Atlanta Athletic Club is in perfect nick

My preparation for the US PGA Championship this week has gone as well as I could have hoped.

Atlanta Athletic Club is in perfect condition. I'd go as far as to say that it could be the purest course of the year.

They have changed the the type of grasses here to make to course play tougher but to also cope better with the intense heat here in "Hotlanta"!

They've used diamond zoysia on the fairways and champions Bermuda on the greens. In fact, these are the quickest bermuda greens I've putted on.

The course is a good test. It can play very long but they have a lot of tee options out there and

  • Battered by brutal St George’s weather

Yahoo!-Eurosport golf ambassador Justin Rose is giving us the exclusive benefit of his insight from The Open at Royal St George's.

It was a test of mental fortitude as much as golfing talent in the third round on Saturday as relentless wind and rain lashed the south-east coast.

The opening two days at Royal St George's featured bright sun with gusting breezes but, as forecast, Saturday dawned grey and dull and the wind and rain soon came swooping in from the English Channel.

    Check out Justin's thoughts:

  • Unique challenge of golf in the wind

Yahoo! Eurosport Ambassador Justin Rose talks about the challenge of playing in the wind in his latest video.

Rose is at Royal St. George's putting together the final touches before he begins his campaign at the Open Championship on Thursday.

The heavy wind at the course could make conditions incredibly tough for the golfers and Rose concedes that means practice become even more important than usual for the golfers.

However, it also seems that he is excited about playing in the unique conditions that only the Open seems to present.

  • Not enough birdies in my first round

Yahoo! Eurosport Ambassador Justin Rose reflects on a "disappointing" first round in his latest blog from the Open Championship at Royal St George's.

The Englishman shot a 72, two over par, but says he should have capitalised on improved conditions down the back nine.

However he was impressed with the crowd at Sandwich and is confident of a mid-60s showing in Friday's second round.
