Miami creates website to lure FSU fan input from its Twitter page

As this weekend’s game between Florida State and Miami inches closer, the Miami Twitter page has been bombarded with comments from Florida State fans giving their thoughts about the game and about the Hurricanes.

So, in order to combat the noise in their Twitter feed, Miami’s social media department gave Florida State fans an outlet for their, um, input.

So what happens when you click that site?

It takes the user to a page where he or she can type pretty much anything they want and when they hit send, the comment gets sucked into a vortex while screaming erupts. At the end, the site gives the user a nice little note: “Thanks for keeping that off twitter. Go Canes!"

Well, that’s one way to handle it. Giving user a computer virus would have been another, but that would have been mean.

Not sure that flushing comments down an imaginary black hole is even enough to stop #FSUTwitter.

Florida State fans do have a lot to brag about in this series, thought. The Seminoles have won the last five meetings between these two programs and eight of the last 10.
