Los Angeles billboard kicks St. Louis when it's down over Rams

Poor St. Louis. The Rams have packed up for Los Angeles, having turned their back on their home for the past 20-plus years.

And now one business in the Rams' new city is taking shots at its old one.

Ouch, bro.

That's kind of cold. I mean, if it's baseball, hockey or toasted raviolis we're talking about, maybe we've got a protest-worthy situation on our hands here. But in Rams owner Stan Kroenke's mind, after he left scorched earth in Earth City, Mo., this might be exactly right.

The local clothier in question, Popular Demand, is a start-up company that in the past few years has found a nice little niche (big enough to afford large billboards in Hollywood, anyway) and is adhering to the "all gas, no brakes mindset" it boasts of on its official website. It also mentions being "bold, loud and unapologetic," so any thin-skinned St. Louisians be warned: A retraction doesn't appear to be in the cards at this point.

We don't yet know whether the city of L.A. will embrace the Rams again upon their return to town or whether the locals agree with the billboard. But we do know that a local business is not afraid to take a little parting shot at its new team's former digs.
