The Bridgeport Sound Tigers defeated the Hartford Wolf Pack on Wednesday night, 4-2. Like many victories in the AHL, theirs involved an empty-net goal that clinched things late in the third period.
Unlike many victories … well, in any league … theirs involved an empty-net goal scored after one of their players blocked a shot, 140 feet away on the other end of the ice, and the puck rolled into the cage.
