NHL 3 Stars: Bobrovsky blanks Coyotes; Hawks hang eight on Stars

No. 1 Star: Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus Blue Jackets

Bobrovsky was perfect for Columbus, making 39 saves versus the Phoenix Coyotes in regulation before being forced to defend his shutout in the shootout. He couldn't be beaten there either, stopping two Phoenix shooters in the 1-0 win. The Blue Jackets now have a 10-game point streak going; Bobrovsky has been the biggest reason for that.

No. 2 Star: Devin Setoguchi, Minnesota Wild

Big night for Setoguchi, who had a three-point night in the Wild's 6-4 win over the Colorado Avalanche, scoring twice and picking up the 100th assist of his NHL career. Here's Setoguchi's second, on a nice saucer feed from Pierre-Marc Bouchard.

No. 3 Star: Jonathan Toews, Chicago Blackhawks

Toews got the ball rolling for Chicago, scoring twice in the first period versus the Dallas Stars. After that, the floodgates were opened, and the Hawks cruised to an 8-1 win. Toews finished with a three-point night, as did Bryan Bickell, Nick Leddy, Viktor Stalberg and Patrick Kane, who also scored the goal of the night and maybe the year.

Honourable mention: Tomas Plekanec scored the game-winner and Carey Price made 32 saves in the Montreal Canadiens' 2-1 win over the New Jersey Devils. Colby Armstrong scored his first of the season for Montreal as well... Tyler Johnson had a goal and an assist to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning over the Carolina Hurricanes, 4-1... Chris Stewart scored the overtime winner in the St. Louis Blues' 2-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks... Blake Wheeler scored twice for the Winnipeg Jets, but they still needed a shootout to finish off the Toronto Maple Leafs, 5-4... P.A. Parenteau scored on a nice individual effort in the Avalanche loss...

Joffrey Lupul scored twice in his return to the lineup for Toronto, including once on his first shift... Casey Cizikas scored the game-winner as the New York Islanders held on for a 4-3 win over the Florida Panthers... Drew Stafford scored twice but it wasn't enough, as the Buffalo Sabres fell 4-3 to the Ottawa Senators. Kyle Turris had a 3-point night, including the overtime winner on a gorgeous short-side one-timer:

... Marc-Andre Fleury and the Pittsburgh Penguins shut the New York Rangers out, 3-0... Nathan Horton, David Krejci and Milan Lucic all had 3-point nights as the Boston Bruins' skated to a 4-1 triumph versus the Washington Capitals... Pavel Datsyuk banked several pucks off of Justin Abdelkader in the Detroit Red Wings' 5-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks... Kyle Clifford scored twice in the Los Angeles Kings' 5-2 rout of the San Jose Sharks.

Did you know? Tyler Johnson's goal for the Lightning was his first NHL goal, and his assist came on Ondrej Palat's first NHL goal. it was the first time in Lightning history that they had two guys score their first of the season in the same game.

Dishonourable mention: No points for Sidney Crosby. So not clutch... The Islanders really shouldn't have needed the late goal from Casey Cizikas, but they lost their three-goal lead in the third period in under two minutes. Florida went from trailing by three to tied the game up before their first goal of the game was done being announced:
