The Pavel Datsyuk Story makes for great Red Wings video

On the short list of international hockey treasures, Pavel Datsyuk’s name deserves mention with the likes of Jaromir Jagr. He’s a once-in-a-generation, maybe once-in-a-century talent that manages to make us rethink what a player can do with two skates, a puck, a stick and some magic.

So we have all the time in the world for Datsyuk tributes and deep dives into his background, and the Detroit Red Wings give us one in their “There’s More To The Story” series.

Check out this clip on Datsyuk’s connection with youth hockey, his choosing of No. 13, plenty of private photos of Datsyuk through the years and much more.
