The Bundesliga and Premier League seasons finished at the weekend, making this the final full-blooded continental Team of the Week in 2013/14.
Fitting, then, that both England and Germany are well represented for the May 9-11 team, compiled from stats courtesy of Opta - with departing Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski leading the line.
The Pole will join Dortmund's rivals Bayern Munich next season but earned a hero's send-off from the 'Yellow Wall' with a string of topnotch performances on his way out - including two goals on matchday 34 against Hertha Berlin.
He is joined in the XI by three other Bundesliga stand-outs from the weekend, all from different clubs. Meanwhile Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool all had one representative each.
Internazionale were the only side to get two players in this week, while Serie A strugglers Sassuolo provide the attacking support for Lewandowski after Antonio Floro Flores' brace helped them continue their unlikely escape from the threat of relegation.
Also set to avoid the drop at this rate are Getafe, whose left-back Sergio Escudero scored to add further gleam to an excellent defensive performance to give the Madrid side a huge survival boost.
