Ronaldo scores for Real Madrid against Ajax in the Champions League

Cristiano Ronaldo was at it again for Real Madrid on Champions League match day two at the Amsterdam ArenA, scoring yet another hat-trick as the La Liga title-holders despatched Ajax 4-1. An all-round solid performance from the Brazilian who got both goals and was well supported by the strong midfield pairing of Costa and Gago.

Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) — Expert 10, Users 7.6

Kaka and Benzema also shone, while Vermeer was outstanding despite conceding four, but a hat-trick from Ronaldo capped a typically direct performance.

Gary Hooper (Celtic) — Expert 9, Users 7.2

A goal, an assist and the threat which led to the red card for Juan Insaurralde. A true exhibition of the striker's quality and danger.

Robin van Persie (Manchester United) — Expert 8, Users 7

The Dutchman is already making a habit of claiming victories for United, and his brace did that once again.
