Colombia’s players were given a hero’s welcome on their return from the World Cup.
Thousands of fans lined the streets of Bogota as the team bus wound through the capital before the players were dropped off and ushered onto a stage.
Pablo Armero was in such good spirits that he broke into an outstanding robotic dance – pretending to fasten a seatbelt, clutching the wheel of an imaginary vehicle before letting his arms jolt freely.
Watch Armero’s solo dance below:
It wasn’t long before six-goal hero James Rodriguez and a couple of dancers joined Armero on the dance floor as the Colombians – who had already captured the world's imagination with some cohesive salsa celebrations in Brazil – showed little sign of World Cup heartbreak.
Colombia bowed out at the quarter-final stage after a 2-1 defeat to hosts Brazil – a result that was shrouded in controversy after a robust challenge from defender Juan Zuniga ended poster boy Neymar’s tournament.
