Continuity can be a good thing, but is the relative lack of change in Spain's squad one reason for their struggles in the 2014 World Cup?
This infographic shows that no fewer than 10 players have been part of the last four tournaments Vicente del Bosque's side have been involved in, including Xavi, Iker Casillas, Andres Iniesta and Fernando Torres.
One of the surprising names to have featured in all four squads is Raul Albiol, who was a key part of the 2008 side, but has simply been a reserve this time.
Pepe Reina has also travelled to all four tournaments, but only actually made one appearance, in the 2008 European Championships.
