Jose Mourinho has nominated France midfielder Paul Pogba as the best young player at the 2014 World Cup.

Pogba played a starring role as France reached the quarter-finals in Brazil before losing in a close contest to finalists Germany.

And Mourinho, Yahoo's Global Football Ambassador, says the in-demand Juventus star caught his eye.

"I would say Pogba, because he had also a good World Cup and in spite of the fact his team didn't reach the last four, I think he showed that he is a big player for the next World Cup for sure."

Jose also picked out his best players of the tournament and his favourite goals, as well as nominating a rival and friend as his coach of the tournament.
