Wozniacki questions whether line-judge knows foot fault rule

Tramlines

Caroline Wozniacki had a long rules debate with the umpire and a line judge after being charged with a foot fault at Eastbourne

The Dane seemed convinced the line judge had made a mess of the call and had to be told by the umpire to drop the matter and get back on with the match.

She did however, comes from a set down to beat Ekaterina Makarova in the quarter-finals.

The fifth seed Wozniacki dropped the first set against the Russian 6-4 but won the next 6-0 despite the foot fault incident.

She took the final set 6-3 to set up a semi-final meeting with American surprise package Jamie Hampton.
