A monster truck driver has pulled off what was previously thought to be impossible - a complete back-flip.

Ryan Anderson sped his 12-tonne truck into a near-vertical ramp at the Monster Jam 2011 with so much power that he was able to flip the vehicle off the ground, twist it around in a complete somersault and land it perfectly.

The amazing feat was caught by the crowd at the Las Vegas event, who went wild after witnessing history in the making.

Anderson comes from good monster truck racing stock. His father Dennis Anderson was a legend in the sport and his father's truck - the Grave Digger - is the predecessor to Anderson's 'Son-uva Digger' truck.
