Formula Two racing driver Ricardo Teixeira made a miraculous escape after an outrageous crash at a race in Morocco.
The incident happened at the first corner of the race at the Marrakech street circuit, with the problems starting as the 25-year-old came in to the opening chicane with too much speed.
The Portuguese-Angolan driver's car smashed into the back of
Russian Ivan Samarin, causing him to barrel-roll through the air wth
parts scattering across the track.
There was mayhem among the
other racers as they tried to avoid getting caught up in the incident,
but miraculously Teixeira's car flipped over in mid-air and landed the
right way up.
Incredibly, no drivers were hurt, and Austria's Philipp Eng went on to win the re-started race.
