Well this video is probably the closest you will come to knowing without strapping on a pair of skis and flinging yourself down a hill.
Former Norwegian Olympic ski-jumper Jon Aaraas fixed a camera to his helmet to give people a first-person view of what it is like to compete in this spectacular sport.
The jump was performed in Vikersund, Norway, on the world's third-largest ski jumping hill.
Aaraas reaches a speed of 103 km/h (over 64 miles an hour) before performing a 192m jump.
So let Aaraas take you on a terrifying yet thrilling leap.
You will have a newfound respect for Eddie 'the Eagle' Edwards after watching this.
