Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole formed a deadly strike partnership at Manchester Utd in the late 90s and early 2000s, perhaps reaching the height of their powers in the 1998-99 treble-winning season, in which they scored a combined 53 goals.
Their success was put down to an intrinsic understanding of one another's movement, described by some as 'telepathic'.
To put this to the test, the veterans dug their boots out to show off their blindfolded skills against United's present crop of top strikers. Well, three of them anyway: Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck and Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez showed up, though Robin Van Persie obviously stayed at home from training that day after dreaming that he'd get roped into a publicity stunt video.
It's a good video though, and while there were probably endless re-dos and out-takes there are also a couple of amazing moments. The undoubted highlights revolve around Rooney, first for getting smashed in the face several times (including once so hard that he falls over), and then for burying an outstanding rifle of a volley that most mortals couldn't score even if they had half a dozen eyes, three pairs of legs, and could keep re-trying the stunt all week.
