World Cup Venn: Day six

World of Sport

It's day six of our World Cup Venn quiz, and we've got something of a special treat for any misty-eyed England fans with fond memories of the days when shorts were short and hair was long.

The answer is World Cup related, though: can you figure out what it is?

Find out the answer at half-time of today's clash between Spain and Switzerland.

Yesterday's question involved the intrepid duo of Russia's Oleg Salenko (left) and Bulgaria's Hristo Stoichkov (right).

Both played for countries not long out from behind the Iron Curtain, and both celebrated the spirit of Glasnost (or was it Perestroika?) in style by topping the scoresheets at the 1994 World Cup in the USA with six goals each.

It was (and remains) only the second time that the Golden Boot was shared. The only other time was back in 1962, when six players scored four goals each.

Amazingly enough, Russia went out of the tournament in the group stage: Salenko scored five of his goals in their third match,a dead rubber against Cameroon that they won 6-1. Three of Stoichkov's goals came from the penalty spot.
