    • 90+2' Spurs are through! A fantastic night for Spurs. They go through and will be among the big boys in the group stages. A 6-3 win on aggregate. Impressive stuff.
    • 89' There are going to be two minutes added of injury time. Young Boys will drop into the Europa League.
    • 88' Kranjcar heads over from Lennon's cross, but the game has long since finished as a contest.
    • 87' The home fans are loving this. Spurs are likely to be second seeds in tomorrow's draw. A Barcelona could be coming here, which would be some occasion.
    • 86' Lovely bit of play by Lennon. Had the chance to volley, but just failed to keep it down.
    • 85' Regazzoni smashes an effort wide of goal from distance.
    • 84' Young Boys are ahead in possession, 55-45, but that shows you the importance of a cutting edge.
    • 83' Fine save by Wolfi to keep Crouch out after he was played in by Pavlyuchenko. Almost a fourth goal for the towering striker.
    • 82' Doubai is replaced by Schneuwly for Young Boys.
    • 81' Bale makes way for Kranjcar for Spurs. Standing ovation for him.
    • 80' Couple of changes on their way for both sides here.
    • 79' Draw for the group stages of the Champions League is tomorrow evening in Monaco and Spurs will be there.
    • 78' Huddlestone lets one rip from distance, but Wolfi stood up well to make the save. Strong hands.
    • 77' Well, this has been a memorable night for Spurs. The home side are now 6-3 ahead on aggregate.
    • 76' A FOURTH GOAL FOR SPURS! Crouch slams home his hat-trick as the keeper is sent the wrong way from the penalty spot and Young Boys are well beaten. Lulic gets the red card for being the last man.
    • 75' PENALTY TO SPURS! Lulic is off after bringing down Bale.
    • 74' Hard to believe Spurs were three down to this side last week. Premier League muscle has certainly shown through this evening.
    • 73' Bale speeds forward at the other end, but he is crowded out by the Swiss side's defence.
    • 72' Pavlyuchenko shows his defensive qualities, but there may be more goals in this for Spurs. Young Boys have to throw caution to the wind now.
    • 71' King nudges Degen and Young Boys have a free-kick, but poor delivery and Bale heads out of his area. "We're on our way to Wembley rings out around the ground." For the Champions League final, not the FA Cup one assumes.
    • 70' Looks like England are going to have their quartet in the Champions League group stages. Spurs will be joining Chelsea, Manchester United and London rivals Arsenal.
    • 69' Redknapp looking a bit wet out there, but he is the last man who will be feeling the rain. Has been a sunny night for Spurs in more ways than one.
    • 68' Opta stat: "Following 3 assists in tonight's match vs Young Boys, G Bale has scored or assisted all but one of Spurs' 7 goals this season."
    • 67' Degen booked for this latest late tackle on Huddlestone. Sums up their mood at the moment.
    • 66' Young Boys looking a frustrated looking bunch, even if the overall stats are 50-50 in possession.
    • 65' More probing play by Spurs. Lennon darts to the byline and crosses for Bale, but his header is plucked out of the air by Wolfi.
    • 64' Game being disruped by some silly challenges flying in. Young boys need two goals now to force extra-time.
    • 63' Regazzoni lucky to avoid a yellow card for a late one on Corluka. That was a crude tackle.
    • 62' Couple of changes for the visiting side. Schneuwly replaces Costanzo and Regazzoni is on for Sutter.
    • 61' Pavlyuchenko is booked for an awful challenge on Hochstrasser. Only a minute after coming on.
    • 60' Going to be a change here. Defoe departs and on comes Pavlyuchenko.
    • 59' THIRD GOAL FOR SPURS! Lennon wins a corner, which Bale will take. He floats it in and Crouch rises to power a header into the net. Surely all over now. Great header by Crouch, even if Jemal watched him put it in.
    • 58' Sutter getting himself forward. Throws a cross in to the box, but Cudicini is alive to the danger. He clasps that and Spurs can go again.
    • 57' Crouch appeals for a penalty under pressure from Jemal. He asked the question, but the referee waves play on. Looked like a bit of a nudge.
    • 56' Wolfi pulls off a stop to halt Crouch from two yards. The big man should have hit that first time. Could have killed the tie there.
    • 55' Superb defending by Spycher to deny Defoe as the striker looked set to convert another excellent Bale cross. Did well to clear that.
    • 54' Doubai lets fly from 30 yards, but that shot is high and handsome. Not going to trouble Cudicini from that distance.
    • 53' CHANCE FOR BIENVENU THERE! Dawson caught ball watching, but the Young Boys player could not get enough purchase on it and it is an easy save for Cudicini. Warning to Spurs.
    • 52' Degen penalised for a foul on Assou-Ekotto. That will relieve the pressure on the home defence.
    • 51' Booking for Palacios for a robust challenge on Hochstrasser. Looked a bit harsh that booking.
    • 50' Superb delivery by Bale. He fairly whipped that in, but Corluka narrowly failed to get his head on it. Goal kick to Young Boys.
    • 49' Lennon fouled by Hochstrasser and Spurs have a free-kick. Just outside the visiting area.
    • 48' Get the impression the crowd are a bit nervous. How the home fans would like a third goal to calm the nerves. Young Boys have got to go for this.
    • 47' Young Boys have a free-kick after King clipped Bienvenu, but like much of their attacks, comes to nothing. King and Corluka combine to clear.
    • 46' Defoe and Crouch get us under way for this second period. Time for Spurs to stand up and be counted.
    • 46' Cudicini is going to replace Gomes for this second half.
    • Just to confirm that Lulic was booked in the first period for a late one on Huddlestone.
    • 45+2' Costanzo tried to control Doubai's pass, but the ball evades him and that is the last meaningful action of the half. Spurs complete the comeback, but there is work to be done in the second period.
    • 44' Two minutes of injury time to be added to this half.
    • 43' Opta stat: "Jermain Defoe's goal ended a run of 500 minutes of club football without finding the back of the net."
    • 42' Redknapp is out his dugout barking instructions. Doesn't want to lose a goal so close to the break. Worst period of the half for Spurs.
    • 41' Gomes is clearly toiling yet he remains on the pitch. A goal here could change matters.
    • 40' Five minutes from the break. Gomes and Dawson at sixes and sevens there, but Young Boys fail to take advantage. Bienvenu heads over.
    • 39' Sutter needed a bit of treatment after he collided with Bale, but he is back on his feet.
    • 38' Better bit of play by the visitors. Hochstrasser hooks at volley at goal, but that is wide of goal. If that was on target, it would have been a goal. Good effort from the Swiss player.
    • 37' Bale is penalised for a tug on Sutter there as he tried to bound to the touchline. Bale has some engine.
    • 36' Another Opta stat for you: "Jermain Defoe was penalised for handball 19 times in the 09/10 Premier League - nine times more than any other player."
    • 35' Lovely move by Spurs. Lennon plays in Defoe, but he hammers wide of the goal. Should have been a third goal there.
    • 34' Spurs trying to get Gomes through to half-time. Not that he has been overworked in this match.
    • 33' The visiting bench clearly unhappy and they are signalling to the referee. Young Boys need to score two goals to progress. A big ask for them.
    • 32' Well, that is is a huge spot of good fortune for Spurs. Should not have stood, but how many times have we seen that.
    • 31' A SECOND GOAL FOR SPURS! Defoe holds off Jemal before slamming a shot in off the right hand post of the visiting goal from just inside the box. Looked like a handball and it was an arm that he used. The referee missed it.
    • 30' The flags are waving again. Spurs back in possession.
    • 29' Heading for the end of the first half-hour and this may be the time for Gomes to leave. Looks like he is struggling.
    • 28' Assou-Ekotto has a neat run and shot, but that is over the bar. No lack of willingness in the home side, but both sides are lacking composure in the final third. The next goal here is going to be crucial.
    • 27' Think Gomes isgoing to be heading off. He has signalled to the bench that he wants off. Redknapp is asking him to give it another 10 minutes.
    • 26' Spurs edging possession with 55% to 45% in their favour. Just that one attempt on target and that one vital goal by big Crouch.
    • 25' The corner comes to nothing, thankfully for Palacios.
    • 24' Poor play by Palacios. He gives the ball away and Young Boys have a corner. Only takes a bit of sloppy play like that and Young Boys could be in.
    • 23' Dawson throws in a free-kick from deep. Crouch heads that into the danger area, but Huddlestone cannot get on the end of it.
    • 22' The rain certainly not hindering Spurs as they knock it around.
    • 21' Young Boys still need only one goal and the tie will swing their way. That is the beauty of these two-legged affairs. Finely poised.
    • 20' Quick stat from Opta: "Peter Crouch has hit 11 goals in 16 starts in the Champions League (including qualifiers) since 2006/07."
    • 19' Bit of treatment for Jemal, but he is back on his feet and we are back under way. Spurs completely in control of play out there.
    • 18' Lennon fouled by Spycher. Bale's free-kick is headed out before Jemal takes a sore one blocking a 30 yard rocket by Assou-Ekotto.
    • 17' Spurs back on the offensive. And they will have a free-kick here.
    • 16' Lennon has his pocket picked theree by Lulic after Crouch is penalised for a foul on Affolter. The visitors try to attack through Degen, but comes to nothing.
    • 15' Spurs must be on their guard. Young Boys knocked out Fenerbahce with a 1-0 away win in the last round. There is little doubt that they carry a threat.
    • 14' Gomes reached the semi-finals of this tournament in 2005 when PSV Eindhoven lost on penalties at the last four stage to AC Milan. Will be hoping for better fortunes this evening.
    • 13' Gomes seems to hurt his leg kicking the ball out there. Nice ball forward by Costanzo for Young Boys, but he just fails to pick out Degen. Tottenham can build again.
    • 12' Home goalkeeper Gomes is in need of a bit of treatment, but is back on his feet.
    • 11' Seems a long time since the Swiss side held a 3-0 lead in that first leg. Would have been good to get a bet on Spurs after the early stages of the first leg. Could never have foreseen this turnaround.
    • 10' Some more good work between Bale and Crouch, but the ball skids away off the surface. Bale seems to be everywhere at the moment. Young Boys cannot get out of their half.
    • 9' Crouch has scored the first goal for a Tottenham side in the European Cup since Danny Blanchflower in the 1960s. The fans can almost reach out and smell a place in the group stages.
    • 8' Bale simply on fire out there. He scored a wondeful goal against Stoke at the weekend and he is carrying on his form. Driving at pace against the shellshocked Young Boys rearguard.
    • 7' Lennon penalised for a naughtly little nudge on Spycher after being played in by Corluka. Spurs really going at this.
    • 6' Crouch was spared the plastic pitch of Berne last week, but he hasn't been spared the rain of London and he responded superbly. 3-3 on aggregate, but Spurs have their early goal and are heading through on away goals.
    • 5' GOAL FOR SPURS! What a start to this match. Superb delivery by Bale and Crouch is unmarked at the back post to nod in to the corner of the net. Wonderful start for the home side.
    • 4' Harry Redknapp calling for his men to pile forward early on and they are certainly doing that.
    • 3' Assou-Ekotto makes a dash forward from deep, but he has too much pace on that cross and Young Boys have a goal kick.
    • 2' Early free-kick for Young Boys after a silly late challenge by Palacios. Hammered in by Jemal, but comes to nothing and Spurs clear the danger.
    • 1' Young Boys get us under way. The Swiss side are in yellow, Spurs in their traditional white.
    • 19.41 Teams are in the tunnel. Looks like a full house in for this one.
    • 19.40 "We're looking for cool heads, a bit of passion. When we're playing well, I think we're an outstanding team. We've just got to make sure we stick a couple of chances away when they come along," says Harry Redknapp. His side are chasing a spot in the European Cup's latter stages for the first time since 1961.
    • 19:35 The visiting right-back Scott Sutter is a childhood Spurs fan. Big night for him playing at White Hart Lane. Shame about the weather.
    • 19.30 Spurs need an early goal, but their stats from the first leg suggest them must remain patient. They had eight shots on goal from outside the area last week, but failed to work the opposing goalkeeper. In saying that, it is absolutely teeming it down at White Hart Lane....
    • 19:25 Opta fact: "English teams have been defeated four times at home in Champions League qualifiers, compared to just three times away." No room for Spurs to get carried away then.
    • 19:20 Hear what Spurs boss Harry Redknapp thinks of Young Boys. Redknapp is certainly not taking anything for granted in this one. Redknapp: Young Boys still favourites
    • 19.15 The referee is Laurent Duhamel of France.
    • 19.10 Tottenham: Gomes, Corluka, King, Dawson, Assoe-Ekotto, Lennon, Huddlestone, Palacios, Bale, Crouch, Defoe Subs: Cudicini, Kaboul, Jenas, Pavlyuchenko, Keane, Giovani, Kranjcar. Young Boys: Wolfli, Sutter, Costanzo, Tape Doubai, Bienvenu, Spycher, Lulic, Affolter, Degen, Hochstrasser, Jemal Subs: Burki, Marco Schneuwly, De Pierro, Christian Schneuwly, Raimondi, Regazzoni, Mayuka.
    • 19.05 TEAM NEWS: Jermain Defoe starts in attack for Spurs ahead of the striker's groin operation. Young Boys are unchanged from the first leg.
    • 19.00 Good evening and welcome to tonight's crucial second leg between Spurs and Young Boys. The Premier League side trails 3-2 from the first leg. Can they complete the job? Let's us find out.
