    • 87' Looking like four wins out of four in this season's CL for the hosts. Just one goal conceded too.
    • 86' Piszczek races down the right but his cross is poor and flies into the crowd behind the goal.
    • 85' Dortmund knocking the ball around casually and then breaking when the chance opens up. Shakhtar just want the whistle.
    • 84' Dortmund still looking menacing on the counter attack here.
    • 83' Another chance for the away side. Luiz Adriano gets a rare sight of goal but sees his low toe poke blocked by the advancing Weidenfeller.
    • 82' And for Shakhtar - Taras Stepanenko on for Tomas Hubschman.
    • 81' Nuri Sahin replaces Gundogan.
    • 80' A couple of subs coming up for either side.
    • 79' Wow what a run by Reus! That deserved a goal. The youngster surged in from the right, beat four defenders but then got all of his angles wrong as he stumbled and fired just wide of target.
    • 78' Tweet your views on the match now. Paul Hassall (Paul_Hassall) on Twitter
    • 77' What do YOU think? Can Dortmund go all the way based upon this display? Bigger challenges would lie ahead but they have played within themselves at times and still scored three goals. Tweet your views.
    • 76' A great chance to reduce the arrears. Rakitskiy's shot well kept out by the Dortmund keeper.
    • 75' A corner to the visitors.
    • 74' It comes to nothing. Shakhtar going through the motions here. they don't have the belief to make this interesting - Or do they? One goal could make all of the difference to their attitude.
    • 73' Corner ball to Dortmund.
    • 72' Great save! Grosskreutz tries to place one into the far corner but Pyatov pulls off a worldy of a save.
    • 72' Lightning break from Dortmund...could be a chance here...
    • 71' Cristiano Ronaldo was inevitably on the scresheet for Real. What a player he is now.
    • 70' Shakhtar screaming for a penalty as Piszczek appears to handle in the area. Replays show it happened just outside. It should have been a free-kick.
    • 69' Błaszczykowski replaced by Kevin Grosskreutz.

    • 67' Huge turnaround in Manchester. Real now lead 2-1!
    • 66' The Yellow wall in fine voice and no wonder. Three goals without playing at their very best. dortmund look all set for the last eight - and no one will want ot face them.
    • 65' It's looking like that impressive stat will be even better in 25 minutes time.
    • 64' STAT ALERT: The German team have drawn seven away first legs in UEFA competition and gone through on aggregate on six occasions. The sole defeat came the only time they recorded a 2-2 away draw in the first leg, against Juventus in the 1994/95 UEFA Cup semi-finals; Dortmund were beaten 2-1 in the home return.
    • 63' Gotze flies into the area and dazzles with a couple of stepovers before lashing a shot over the top.
    • 62' Yaroslav Rakitskiy heads towards goal buts it's easily claimed by the keeper.
    • 61' Corner to Shakhtar.
    • 60' A huge mountain for Shakhtar to climb now.
    • 59' GOAL! 3-0 Dortmund. Surely curtains now. A big mistake by Pyatov as he can only parry İlkay Gündoğan shot into the path of Jakub Błaszczykowski who shows great composure to coolly turn past the stopper and tuck home the rebound.
    • 58' Dortmund pushing again here....
    • 57' An own goal by Ramos.
    • 56' There's been a goal at Old Trafford. And it's gone to Man Utd. The Red Devils are one up.
    • 55' STAT ALERT: Shakhtar have scored in 11 of their last 12 away games in European competition (23 goals overall). Reason for optimism after a better start to the half.
    • 54' Reus hammers in a low drive from the resulting free-kick but Pyatov does well to hold it at the first attempt.
    • 53' Free-kick to Dortmund after another foul by Kucher. He's been booked and has to be very careful here. It could so easily have been another caution.
    • 52' Mkhitaryan surges into the box on the left but hammers an implausible effort high into the stand from a really tight angle. Surely a cross would have been a better option there?
    • 51' We seem to have a game on our hands all of a sudden. Dortmund looking a bit panicked at times at the back.
    • 50' Next it's Fernandinho's turn to get a glimpse of goal but he delays his shot and Dortmund survive. The half time cup of tea appears to have done wonders for the away team.
    • 49' And another chance for Douglas who cracks a shot inches past the far post. Much better from Lucescu's side.
    • 48' Great feet by Douglas Costa but his shot is easy for Weidenfeller.
    • 48' Donetsk have 45 minutes to score two goals and keep their Champions League dream alive. A tall order considering Dortmund have only conceded once here in the competition this term.
    • 47' DOUBLE sub at the break. DORTMUND: Bender replaced by Sebastian Kehl . SHAKHTAR: Taison off for Douglas Costa.
    • 46' The match restarts.
    • 45'+1 HALF TIME: The corner comes to nothing and the ref blows for the interval. 2-0 to Dortmund who have one foot in the last eight.
    • 45' Fernandinho curls in a cross turned shot from the right that Roman Weidenfeller is forced to tip over the bar.
    • 44' At the other end a corner falls for Kucher but his spectacular, hooked volley flies harmlessly over the bar. That's about as good as it's been for Shakhtar so far tonight.
    • 43' Corner headed clear as far as Piszczek on the edge of the dee... but his half volley sears over the top.
    • 42' Great chance for three. Reus plays in Lewandowski who delays his shot and then sees his effort from a tight angle deflected behind. Corner ball.
    • 41' Still goalless at Old Trafford. Man Utd 0-0 Real Madrid as we approach half-time in tonight's CL matches.
    • 40' Gotze has now been involved in six of Dortmund’s last eight goals in the Champions League. Instrumental.
    • 39' Gotze with the assist for the first and the clinical finish for the second. He's a huge prospect.
    • 38' GOAL! 2-0 DORTMUND. Gotze bursts into the box and applies a cute finish to Lewandowski's low ball in from the right. It's a long way back for Shakhtar now.
    • 37' STAT ALERT: Of the teams left in the competition only Celtic (66%) have a worse passing accuracy in the opposition’s half than Borussia Dortmund (71.9%).
    • 36' Dortmund with 80 per cent passing accuracy so far tonight. Surprisingly, that is in stark contrast with the following stat....
    • 35' Santana is there again but this time he can't get a header in on goal.
    • 34' Reus powers into the area and earns another corner. Can Shakhtar stand firm?
    • 33' Shakhtar looking a bit shell-shocked and need to regroup here as Dortmund probe for a killer second goal. An important period for the Ukrainian team after conceding out of the blue.
    • 32' The Brazilian's header puts the German side ahead for the first time in the tie.
    • 31' GOAL! Gotze's right-wing corner is headed home by Felipe Santana. That was a thumping header.
    • 31' More reason for Donetsk to be confident they can pull this off - they are unbeaten in their last five encounters with German clubs in European competition (three wins, two draws).
    • 30' You can already see there is a lot of Brazilian flair in the Shakhtar side but it's an Armenian who is their main goal-getter this season with 20 to his name so far. He's looked dangerous on the counter too.
    • 29' Łukasz Piszczek is played in by Lewandowski but turns down the chance to shoot and instantly regrets it.
    • 28' SHOTS: Dortmund 3-1 Shakhtar - but most importantly no goals.
    • 27' Too intricate on the edge of the Shakhtar area by Dortmund and Gotze is eventually crowded out. So far so good if you are Donetsk fan.
    • 26' The set piece fails to result in an opportunity and Dortmund attempt to build from the back.
    • 25' A fine break by the visitors. Fernandinho gets a sight of goal on the edge of the box and shows good feet before sending in a shot that is deflected for a corner.
    • 24' Are Dortmund struggling with the pre-match hype regarding their tournament credentials? What are your views? Make your comment and we'll include the best ones here.
    • 23' Follow events at Old Trafford here. Manchester United v Real Madrid | Live | Score | Champions League 2012-2013 - Yahoo Eurosport UK
    • 22' Still goalless at Old Trafford between Man Utd and Real Madrid.
    • 21' Free-kick from the right is fizzed into the six yard box for Shakhtar but no-one was around to apply the pressure. Dortmund clear for a corner that is ultimately wasted.
    • 20' Reus has been a key man for Dortmund in this season's CL - but mainly away from home. All three of his goals in the competition have come outisde Germany.
    • 19' Marco Reus delivers but the away team easily clear at the near post.
    • 18' Another corner to Dortmund.
    • 17' Sven Bender lines one up from 35 yards.... way over the top.
    • 16' Another dangerous break from Shakhtar but a delayed pass catches them offside. That was poor decision making. They could have been in-behind there.
    • 15' Marcel Schmelzer gets in down the left and plays in a dangerous ball at the second attempt. However, Mario Gotze miscues and the Ukrainian outfit breathe a sigh of relief.
    • 14' It was a great turn by Lewandowski that saw Kucher go into the book there. The defender will be walking a tightrope now. Well over 70 minutes of football still to play against a vibrant German attack.
    • 13' Olexandr Kucher booked for a cynical foul on Lewandowski.
    • 12' STAT ALERT: This is only the second time Shakhtar have reached the knockout stages of the Champions League after 2010/11 when they were eventually knocked out in the quarter-finals.
    • 11' Lewandowski is a man in form but was foiled there. He netted twice at the weekend to take his tally to 9 in his last 9 matches.
    • 10' CHANCE for Dortmund. Lewandowski gets in behind the Shakhtar defence but he is well blocked by Andriy Pyatov who pulls off a fine save.
    • 9' A lightning break from the visitors sees Henrikh Mkhitaryan get in down the left-hand side of the area. However, the Armenian's cut back is well cleared.
    • 8' Dortmund probing but still nothing to report in terms of opportunities.
    • 7' The visitors are starting to get a foot-hold in the game after Dortmund's fast start. No real chances of note as of yet though.
    • 6' Reason for optimism for Shakhtar? They have only lost once in their four trips to Germany in European competition.
    • 5' Die Schwarzgelben already asserting their authority. They earn another corner but this time Donetsk clear and earn a free-kick that gives them some respite.
    • 4' Lewandowski rises highest but can't direct his header towards goal. A let off for the visitors.
    • 3' They've also won all three home games in the CL this term and have conceded just one goal. That illustrates just how big a task there is facing Shakhtar as the hosts win the first corner of the night.
    • 2' Worth noting that Borussia Dortmund are one of three teams still unbeaten in the Champions League this season alongside Juventus and Schalke.
    • 1' KICK OFF!
    • 19.40 It's nearly showtime and there's a cracking atmosphere bubbling away in Signal Iduna Park. Which way will it go? Can Shakhtar do what Real Madrid, Man City and Ajax all failed to do, and win here? We'll find out over the course of the next 90 minutes or so...
    • 19.35 All quiet in Twitterland but 'Wade' has offered his prediction on the comments below, suggesting it's going to be a 3-1 success for Dortmund. Get involved now and offer your thoughts. Who's going to be the key man tonight?
    • 19.29 Meanwhile Shakhtar coach Mircea Lucescu is aware how strong the German champions are on home soil and made a very bold prediction. He told reporters: "I think we are well prepared although Dortmund are a very strong side. They advanced from a group containing Ajax, Real Madrid and Manchester City and created six or seven clear chances against all of them at home. The team which goes through tomorrow will surely reach the Champions League final."
    • 19.25 Klopp continued: "It will be difficult for either team. In the first leg we saw that both sides are here on merit and they have high quality. The first leg decided nothing. Our position is maybe a bit better, but no more than that. I'm not worried about us making mistakes. There is no such thing as a football match without mistakes. It's about performing so well that your mistakes don't matter in the larger scheme of things."
    • 19.22 Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp feels it would be wrong to write off his team's campaign as a failure if they fail to progress. He told his pre-match press conference: "I have read it would be a lost season if we don't go through. I think that's very harsh. We have a big opportunity to finish second in the Bundesliga: we wouldn't have dreamt of that three years ago. It's a very, very important match for us because this side have the opportunity of reaching something new, the quarter-finals."
    • 19.20 Former Dortmund and Liverpool striker Karl-Heinz Riedle has been talking up the German side's hopes by claiming this season is their big chance to win it. The pressure very much on for them to deliver.
    • 19.15 Elsewhere tonight, Manchester United host Real Madrid in a titanic clash at Old Trafford. Keep up-to-date with our live matchcast. Some HUGE team news in that game. Check it out now - and then hurry back! Manchester United v Real Madrid | Champions League 2012-2013 - Yahoo Eurosport UK
    • 19.12 As for Shakhtar, their easy victory over Volyn was their 18th in 19th domestic matches. No sign of any hangovers from their winter break.
    • 19.09 Dortmund are currently second in the Bundesliga and warmed up for tonight's encounter with a 3-1 success over Hannover 96. How far are they behind Bayern Munich? Find out here. Check out the Bundesliga standings
    • 19.07 Who will be tonight's protagonist and who will emerge triumphant to book a place in the CL last eight? Tweet us your thoughts now. Tweet us your views
    • 19.04 Dortmund have the slight edge coming into the second-leg of this tie having fired two away goals in the 2-2 draw in the Ukraine three weeks ago.
    • 19.00 No surprise to see Mario Gotze return to the Dortmund starting XI after playing the role of substitute during the weekend Bundesliga win over Hannover 96. Sven Bender also comes in while the in-form Robert Lewandowksi will lead the line in attack. As for Shakhtar, Brazilian duo Taison and Fernandinho are drafted into the line-up as the two changes from their 4-1 rout of Volyn Lutsk.
    • 18.47 Confirmed teams: BORUSSIA DORTMUND: Weidenfeller, Blaszczykowski, Subotic, Felipe Santana, Schmelzer, Gundogan, Bender, Piszczek, Reus, Gotze, Lewandowski...SUBS: Langerak, Kehl, Leitner, Sahin, Grosskreutz, Bittencourt, Schieber./// SHAKHTAR DONETSK: Pyatov, Srna, Kucher, Rakitskiy, Rat, Hubschman, Fernandinho, Taison, Mkhitaryan, Alex Teixeira, Luiz Adriano... • 18.42 Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of the second leg of the Champions League last 16 clash between Borussia Dortmund and Shakhtar Donetsk at the Signal Iduna Park.
  • Summary

    • 59' GOAL! 3-0 Dortmund. Surely curtains now. A big mistake by Pyatov as he can only parry İlkay Gündoğan shot into the path of Jakub Błaszczykowski who shows great composure to coolly turn past the stopper and tuck home the rebound.
