Haaland opened the scoring with a neat finish before Sancho's inch-perfect free-kick put them two goals up at the interval. Club Brugge made life harder for them in the second half, before then gifting a goal to Haaland who took full advantage. The Norway international could not grab a hat-trick, but Favre's side move five points clear of Club Brugge with two games remaining in Group F.

After a run of four games without a win, Club Brugge have improved their fortunes of late, winning their last two league matches against KV Oostende and Kortrijk. Although they lost their last game against Dortmund, Club Brugge have only lost one of their last eight on the road in the competition.
