    Time:90'
    • Cardiff City
    • Brighton and Hove Albion
    • 90+2' Cardiff continue to push up but with very little purpose. It's all a bit frantic. Brighton's defence has been on top all evening and surely won't concede yet again...
    • 90' GOAL FOR CARDIFF!! Peter Whittingham rifles a penalty straight down the centre of the goal. Consolation? Surely!
    • 87' GOAL FOR BRIGHTON!! Game, set & match. The vistitors have been fantastic in this second half. They're going to win their first three games of the season. Will Hoskins cuts in from the right and fires into the back of the net from just inside the penalty area.
    • 84' Peter Whittingham has a smart effort on goal. The midfielder cuts in from the left before beating his man and having a pop at goal. Casper Ankergren is up well to make the save.
    • 74' Cardiff have been disappointing tonight. But you can't take anything away from Brighton. Romain Vincelot looks to improve upon their lead with a shot from 22 yards. It sails over the crossbar.
    • 71' The lively Craig Mackail-Smith has an effort on goal. It drifts wide before Casper Ankergren is booked for time wasting.
    • 68' The ineffective Robert Earnshaw is replaced by Rudy Gestede, who impressed against West Ham after coming off the bench at Upton Park.
    • 63' GOAL!! Very poor challenge from Mark Hudson on Craig Mackail-Smith. Ashley Barnes steps up and sends David Marshall the wrong way. The visitors fully deserve their lead and could go top of the Championship tonight..
    • 62' PENALTY TO BRIGHTON!!
    • 62' Gary Dicker fouls Peter Whittingham as the hosts look to go on the counter-attack. He's booked.
    • 53' Craig Mackail-Smith goes close. The former Peterborough man picks up the ball on the edge of the penalty area before having an effort at goal. It's not hit too well and flies wide.
    • 47' Brighton have a corner straight away following some good work down the left. Liam Bridcutt takes the set-piece but it is cleared.
    • 39' GOAL FOR BRIGHTON!! Totally against the run of play. Poor defending by the hosts, though. Ashley Barnes receives the ball just inside the Cardiff half and advances towards the penalty area. No defenders go anywhere near the player, allowing him to shoot past David Marshall.
    • 36' Craig Conway receives the ball on the edge of the penalty area before attempting to curl the ball into the top corner. Casper Ankergren is beaten, but so is the post. It drifts just wide.
    • 27' Brighton are playing some impressive football but haven't really troubled the Cardiff defence as of yet. The work rate from the hosts is again of a very high standard.
    • 26' Brighton have not won away at Cardiff since 1984, a run of 10 games without a victory. Can they change the stat tonight?
    • 16' DISALLOWED GOAL FOR BRIGHTON!! Brighton have had the ball in the back of the net. Craig Mackail-Smith is the man to put the ball in the back of the net. But he's offside.
    • 12' The visitors, who have a 100% record in the Championship, have started very brightly against a Cardiff side who have been widely tipped for promotion this year. Positive.
    • 5' CHANCE!! Craig Mackail-Smith finds himself in a promising position. He shoots but the ball is tipped over the bar. It wouldn't have counted though. He was offside.
    • 3' Referee Keith Stroud awards Cardiff a free kick in a promising following a Romain Vincelot handball. Peter Whittingham sends the ball into the box from a dangerous position but the ball is cleared.
    • 2' Cardiff go on the attack against the newly promoted Brighton straight away. They win a corner.
    • 19:33 Cardiff: Marshall, McNaughton, Taylor, Hudson, Gerrard, Whittingham, Cowie, Conway, Mason, Earnshaw, Miller Subs: Heaton, Keinan, Quinn, Gestede, Blake /// Brighton: Ankergren, Greer, Dunk, Calderon, Painter, Sparrow, Dicker, Vincelot, Bridcutt, Barnes, Mackail-Smith Subs: Brezovan, Hoskins, Navarro, Noone, Cook
