    • 90+2' Limberský takes out Coentrão with a late challenge. Howard Webb could have sent him off there, but the referee has done the Czech player a favour.
    • 90+1' We are into four minutes of time added on.
    • 89' Limberský brings down Pereira. And he is going to be booked for that late challenge.
    • 88' Veloso steams in with a shot at goal - Portugal's 20th of the evening - but can only smash the shot miles over the bar.
    • 87' Rolando is introduced for Raul Meireles. Portugal now with three centre backs on the park.
    • 86' Ronaldo takes a tumble in the box. Was looking for a penalty, but Howard Webb tells him to get back on his feet.
    • 85' Pekhart has replaced Hübschman for Czech Republic.
    • 84' Custódio has replaced Nani for Portugal. Almost time up for the Czechs at these finals.
    • 83' Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored six goals at the Euro finals, the joint-most of any Portuguese player, along with Nuno Gomes.
    • 82' Pereira drags a shot at goal from 22 yards out. Another wonderful diving save by Cech, who has kept his country in this match tonight.
    • 81' Portugal finally slowing the play down. Don't need to chase this game. The hard work has been done for the night.
    • 80' 10th goal for Ronaldo in this competition with seven coming in qualifying. Who is to stay he won't get a few more with a possible semi-final and final to come.
    • 79' Ronaldo gets a huge ovation from the Portugal fans. Richly deserved. Portugal easily the better side in this match.
    • 78' GOAL! Ronaldo arrives to head the ball into the deck and over Cech from Moutinho's cross. Portugal lead 1-0. A deserved lead. Finally.
    • 77' Jiracek with a ball across the face of the Portugal goal. Great run and cross, but Patricio was off his line to claim the loose ball.
    • 76' Czechs yet to come up a shot on the Portugal goal which says it all really.
    • 75' Kadlec comes up with some brilliant defending to track the run of Ronaldo. Had to time that right, and does.
    • 74' Nervous times for Portugal, who should be two or three goals ahead by this stage.
    • 73' Pepe and Rezek collide going for a loose ball. Nani then slips a ball straight into the arms of Cech when there should have been a cross.
    • 72' Nani dashes into the heart of the Czech Republic box, but lifts the shot over the bar. Deflected effort, but another effort slips away from the Czech goal.
    • 71' Nice longish ball by Pepe from deep in his own half, but Almeida is narrowly offside.
    • 70' Ronaldo rolls the ball to Meireles, who slams a shot miles over the bar from 20 yards out.
    • 69' All coming down to the business end of this match. Czechs being pressed so far back in their own half....
    • 68' No player has ever had more shots (incl. blocked) at a single Euros than Cristiano Ronaldo in 2012 (Pavlyuchenko, 28 in 2008). Ronaldo is on 28.
    • 67' Ball comes off Ronaldo in the middle. He was certain that was a corner-kick, but a good decision by the referee and his assistant linesmen.
    • 66' Cech and Ronaldo collide for a loose ball, but it is Kadlec who takes a sore one. He is needing some treatment now.
    • 65' And another free header for Almeida, but he heads over the bar. Unmarked and that is a horrid finish by Almeida.
    • 64' Wonderful stop by Cech to nudge the shot by Moutinho over his bar. Brilliant save by Cech, who is right at the eye of this storm.
    • 63' Baros drives forward for the Czechs. Takes a look at goal from 30 yards, but can only hammer a shot over the bar from long range.
    • 62' Jan Rezek has been brought on to take over from Darida for the Czechs.
    • 61' Superb run by Pilar to dash beyond Pepe, but he could not come up with the telling ball into the middle as Portugal clear. Czechs's first real attack of the second half.
    • 60' Almeida has the ball in the net from Nani's cross, but is a couple of yards offside. Flag goes up. We remain at 0-0.
    • 59' Nani wallops a shot at goal from 30 yards out, but solid stop by Cech before Gebre Selassie cleared the ball.
    • 58' This time Moutinho with the delivery. Ball breaks to Meireles, who whacks a volley over the bar from distance.
    • 57' Ronaldo knocks the ball off Kadlec. Ronaldo wih six of Portugal's nine shots. Another corner to the Portuguese here.
    • 56' Portugal utterly dominant here, but so many Czech players behind the ball. Still difficult for Portugal unless they find this crucial opening goal.
    • 55' Meireles dinks the ball into the path of Ronaldo. Ball just doesn't come down for him as he shins the volley over the bar. Another warning for the Czechs, another super Ronaldo run.
    • 54' Baros can't keep the ball in play. Rui Patricio knocks the ball to Bruno Alves as Portugal look to build from deep.
    • 53' Pepe taking no chances as he heads the ball away from Baros. Czechs with a throw-in in the Portugal half.
    • 52' Ronaldo showing some superb footwork out wide. Czechs getting dragged all over the place, but eventually wallop the ball clear.
    • 51' Ronaldo from 30 yards. Beat Cech this time, but flies wide via the outside of a post. Brilliant effort, but no goal. We remain at 0-0.
    • 50' Darida guilty of blocking the ball with an arm as Ronaldo let fly. Ronaldo going to have another go here.
    • 49' Ronaldo taken out of the game by Hübschman. Wonder if Ronaldo will try his luck from this range? 35 yards out.
    • 48' Portugal have hit the woodwork five times at Euro 2012, a joint-record at European Championships. And they have missed an obvious chance there.
    • 47' Almeida with a glorious chance to net the opening goal, but he heads over from eight yards out. Great cross by Meireles. Czechs sleeping early in the second period.
    • 46' Portugal get the second half off and running.
    • 45+2' There goes the whistle for the break. We remain 0-0. Portugal coming on strong in the second half of the first half. Work to be done though.
    • 44' Into two minutes of time added on as Nani flashes a header over the bar. Looks like 0-0 at the break in Warsaw.
    • 43' Superb turn and shot by Ronaldo inside the Czech box, but the ball comes back off a post. So unfortunate for Ronaldo and Portugal.
    • 42' Eight or nine men in that Czech half. Sivok with a fine clearing tackle as Nani tried to cut a dash into the box.
    • 41' Nani takes a dive and appeals for a penalty. Limberský doing well to defend that situation. Never a penalty.
    • 40' João Pereira takes out Limberský with a late challenge in the middle of the park.
    • 39' Not exactly the best match of this tournament, but that will suit the Czechs who remain well in the hunt in Warsaw.
    • 38' Hübschman concedes a free-kick for a foul on Fábio Coentrão, but the free-kick from Meireles is headed clear.
    • 37' Hugo Almeida is being introduced to take over from Postiga, who is carted off the pitch with a limp.
    • 36' Looks like Helder Postiga's tournament is over. He has gone down with a hamstring strain. Not coming back from that any time soon.
    • 35' This match going to plan for the Czechs so far. Ronaldo failing to deal with a tough ball from Coentrao..and he lets his team-mate know about it.
    • 34' Paulo Bento a bit frustrated with Portugal, who are running out of ideas in trying to come up with the killer pass in the final third.
    • 33' Ronaldo is already the first Portuguese player to score at five different major tournaments - Euro 2004, WC 2006, Euro 2008, WC 2010 and Euro 2012.
    • 32' Ronaldo swings his right boot at the ball. Effort always swirling away from Cech's right-hand post. Czechs can breathe another sigh of relief.
    • 31' Nani goes down after Limberský is penalised for a late challenge. 35 yards out. Portugal can try their luck here.
    • 30' Ronaldo just misses with an overhead kick from Pepe's ball. Stunning effort by Ronaldo, but not taken.
    • 29' Coentrão's cross loops up off the leg of Gebre Selassie, and over the bar for a corner to Portugal. Hübschman heads clear the corner.
    • 28' Moutinho wins the ball in a crunching tackle with Baros. Superb tackle there. Plenty of duels all over the park here.
    • 27' Portugal being forced to play long balls as the Czechs continue to occupy space in the middle of the park. Postiga on to Nani, but the ball is safely back in the arms of Cech.
    • 26' Portugal with one shot on target, the only shot on target of what has become a very, very tight affair so far.
    • 25' Hélder Postiga has scored in Portugal’s last two quarter-finals at the Euros. Will be hoping for another one this evening.
    • 24' Pepe getting across to make the interception after a superb run and cross by Gebre Selassie. Really searching cross there.
    • 23' Another booking on the way here for Veloso after he clipped Darida later. No complaints there.
    • 22' Nani has been booked for taking out Limberský with a late challenge. We remain at 0-0.
    • 21' Ronaldo penalised for a late foul on Kadlec as Cech dives to his right to save.
    • 20' Coentrão drops in a cross from out wide. Ball flies into the box as Cech is forced to race back and claim the cross ball. Almost caught out the big goalkeeper.
    • 19' Baros whips in a cross from out wide on his right. Ball drops over several heads. Pilar can't get on the end of it. Neat play by the Czechs.
    • 18' Veloso throws in an corner. Overhits that delivery by some margin, but far too much pace on the delivery. Goalkick to the Czechs.
    • 17' Portugal win another corner after some more lively play up front by Ronaldo. Fine low cross at the other end by Darida just eludes Baros.
    • 16' Michal Bílek has sent his side out to be defensive tonight, but they are not hanging in back here in moving forward. Remember they were thumped 4-1 by Russia in their opening match of the tournament.
    • 15' Ronaldo heads clear the ball in front of his goalkeeper Rui Patricio. Czechs trying to apply some pressure here.
    • 14' The Czech Republic won their group, becoming the first side to win a group stage at a Euro finals tournament with a negative goal difference (-1).
    • 13' Gebre Selassie overruns a ball in the middle of the park with Raul Meireles in with the challenge. All very fiercely competitive.
    • 12' Eusebio sitting taking in the action with Luis Figo. Two wonderful players from Portugal's past. Current lot yet to catch fire this evening.
    • 11' Only Peter Schmeichel (20) has conceded more goals at European Championship finals tournaments than Petr Cech (15).
    • 10' Sivok heads away the cross by Nani before Moutinho can only whack a long shot straight into the arms of Cech.
    • 9' Nani and Limberský arguing over something or other. Much ado about nothing and on we go with this match. Czechs have plenty of bodies lying deep.
    • 8' Baros penalised for a late challenge on Pepe. A slowish start to this match. Neither side really willing to throw caution to the wind yet.
    • 7' Portugal have already hit the woodwork four times at Euro 2012, only three sides have ever hit it five times at the European Championships.
    • 6' Jirácek forces a second corner of the night for the Czechs, but comes to nothing. Ronaldo furious after failing to pick the ball up on the break.
    • 5' Limbersky with a cross into the box moments ago. He is trying to join the Czech attack as much as possible.
    • 4' Portugal have fashioned six goalscoring attempts from counter-attacks - more than any other team at Euro 2012. Portugal on the ball at the back.
    • 3' Flag goes up against Baros for offside. Portugal favourites here, but would be wrong for them to underestimate the Czechs.
    • 2' Veloso putting the ball behind for a corner early on after a fine run by Darida. Cross seconds later just evades the head of Sivok in the Portugal area. Goakkick to Portugal.
    • 1' We are off and running. Czechs getting the action started.
    • 19.40 Teams amble onto the pitch for this one. Portugal and Czech Republic come into an arena that has its roof closed for the evening in case of thunderstorms.
    • 19.35 A Noel Gallagher concert wasn't sold out in Poland as the co-hosts struggling to keep the party going after their exit alongside Ukraine. Read about what is going on in Poland and Ukraine here... Poland and Ukraine struggle to keep party going
    • 19.30 Latest match odds if you fancy sticking a few quid on this match: Czech Republic 9/2, Portugal 8/11, Draw 5/2
    • 19.25 Portugal have kept a clean sheet in only one of their last 10 matches at a Euro finals tournament. The Czech Republic have scored a goal in 12 of their last 13 European Championship finals matches. On the previous two occasions that the Czech Republic have played a quarter finals match at the European Championships, they have won without conceding a goal.
    • 19.20 Czech Republic defeated Portugal 1-0 at the quarter final stage of Euro 96, thanks to the now-famous Karel Poborský scoop goal. In the other of their two previous Euro Finals meetings, Portugal defeated the Czech Republic 3-1 in the group stages in 2008 – a game that Cristiano Ronaldo scored in.
    • 19.15 Paulo Bento (Portugal):  "I think a team that played against Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands like we did will not have any problems with their mental recovery. The physical recovery has been good too. I will try to transform this individual happiness [from his recent 43rd birthday] into a collective happiness. But my greatest wish is that this happiness will be for all the Portuguese people after the game tomorrow."
    • 19.10 Michal Bilek (Czech Republic): "We know Portugal have dangerous players in midfield and up front, such as Nani, Helder Postiga and [Cristiano] Ronaldo. We have that in mind, and we'll adjust our tactics to be more defensive. We can't play like we did against Russia. We gave them space and they punished us. Nani and Ronaldo will punish us if we do the same thing again, and we don't want to repeat the first match."
    • 19.05 Portugal are unchanged from the 2-1 win over the Netherlands in Group B that secured their place in the with the Czechs making one change as Vladimir Darida is brought in for Daniel Kolar, who started the 1-0 win over Poland.
    • 19.00 Teams: Czech Republic: Cech; Gebre Selassie, Sivok, Kadlec, Limbersky; Hubshman, Plasil; Jiracek, Darida, Pilar; Baros////Portugal: Patricio; Pereira, Pepe, Alves, Coentrao; Meireles, Veloso, Moutinho; Nani, Postiga, Ronaldo////Referee: Howard Webb (England)
    • 18.55 Portugal boss Paulo Bento is likely to persist with the same starting side he fielded in all three group matches and in the qualification play-offs. That means Helder Postiga playing up front with Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani either side of him, with Nelson Oliveira and Silvestre Varela both attacking options from the bench.
    • 18.50 Czech team manager Vladimir Smicer has confirmed that captain Tomas Rosicky will not start but may play a part later in the match. The influential playmaker, who missed his side's final Group A match against Poland, has been having intensive treatment since injuring his Achilles tendon in the second group game against Greece. Daniel Kolar is once again set to step in. Otherwise, Czech boss Michal Bilek has a full complement of players from which to pick his team.
    • 18.45 Good evening and welcome to LIVE coverage of Czech Republic against Portugal in the opening Euro 2012 quarter-final from Warsaw's National Stadium.
