Rangers are deeply unhappy with the organisation of Wednesday’s Europa League final at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan in Seville, Telegraph Sport understands.
West Ham duo Craig Dawson and Declan Rice have both been named in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Year. David Moyes’ side made it through to the semi-final stage where they were knocked out by eventual winners Eintracht Frankfurt after a memorable campaign. Both Dawson and Rice impressed as West Ham, battling relegation when Moyes arrived for the second time in late-2019, overcome European royalty Sevilla and Lyon on their way to the last four.
A lax first-leg performance at home to Eintracht Frankfurt and Aaron Cresswell’s early red card in the second had West Ham cursing an opportunity missed after their semi-final exit — and that is not a feeling that will have dissipated after the German side beat Rangers on penalties this week. As well as European places on the line, both fixtures will be notable for farewells, with the Eagles potentially bidding an unwanted one to Conor Gallagher, while Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba are out of contract at Old Trafford this summer.
